James currently lives and works in the New York City area, a far cry from a childhood in the splendors of rural Vermont. An unabashed introvert, James enjoys observing all that surrounds him without feeling the need to be an integral part of the proceedings. His goal as an artist is to express the remarkable within the familiar and ordinary, through critical examination and contemplation of the subject, without alteration of the scene... ...And sometimes he just gets lucky by being in the right place at the right time. PLEASE NOTE: - The 'Fine Art America' watermark that is present on each image will NOT appear on the finished print. %

Lincoln Rogers
Man, I like this! The use of light, perspective and monochromatic color makes the retro feel of the metal stand out. The multiple images in this piece are well chosen. I could see this hanging in a corporate waiting room that boasts a sleek modern design. v33 + faved
James Aiken replied:
Wow, thank you Lincoln. I was taking pictures of this one day as a study of lines, angles, texture, and details. I thought it would be interesting to piece together in a classic triptych in order to reveal the nature of all the elements. Very glad you like the results.
