Artist's Description
The eye of a larger grafitti arts piece watches in subdued silence revealing the details of the style and technique used to create the whole art piece at 5 Pointz in Queens, New York City.
5 Pointz: The Institute of Higher Burnin' or the 5Pointz Aerosol Art Center, Inc. (45-46 Davis Street, Queens, New York) is an American outdoor art exhibit space in Long Island City, New York. Considered to be the world's premiere "graffiti mecca", where aerosol artists from around the globe paint colorful pieces on the walls of a 200,000-square-foot (19,000 m2) factory building.
The complex is privately owned by Long Island developer Jerry Wolkoff, and houses the Crane Street Studios. 5 Pointz is tentatively scheduled to be torn down in 2013 to make way for a $400 million residential project. The residential project will set aside a large amount of space exclusively for graffiti. (Information obtained from Wikipedia)

About James Aiken
James currently lives and works in the New York City area, a far cry from a childhood in the splendors of rural Vermont. An unabashed introvert, James enjoys observing all that surrounds him without feeling the need to be an integral part of the proceedings. His goal as an artist is to express the remarkable within the familiar and ordinary, through critical examination and contemplation of the subject, without alteration of the scene... ...And sometimes he just gets lucky by being in the right place at the right time. PLEASE NOTE: - The 'Fine Art America' watermark that is present on each image will NOT appear on the finished print. %
