Artist's Description

The cable support of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge formflies past in its arced path above the East River in New York City. Rendered in classic black and white.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest bridges of either type in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. It has a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), and was the first steel-wire suspension bridge constructed. About James Aiken

James Aiken

James currently lives and works in the New York City area, a far cry from a childhood in the splendors of rural Vermont. An unabashed introvert, James enjoys observing all that surrounds him without feeling the need to be an integral part of the proceedings. His goal as an artist is to express the remarkable within the familiar and ordinary, through critical examination and contemplation of the subject, without alteration of the scene... ...And sometimes he just gets lucky by being in the right place at the right time. PLEASE NOTE: - The 'Fine Art America' watermark that is present on each image will NOT appear on the finished print. %
