Description
A detail of a rusted old Dodge Power Wagon truck subtley shows off the location of the once prominent DODGE logo.
The Dodge Power Wagon is a four wheel drive light truck produced from 1945 through 1980. This early version was based on the 3/4-ton army truck's chassis, produced during World War II, with a civilian cab and a purpose designed 8-foot cargo box. The Power Wagon, as a Civilian vehicle, continued the lineage of four wheel drive Dodge trucks from the 1930's, proving basic four wheel drive design concepts and representing a significant predecessor to the many four wheel drive trucks in modern use today. Love the barely discernible Dodge where the chrome is missing! The grill has an almost barnacled look to it! Great gritty stuff! Sharing!

James, I absolutely love the way you see the world ~ bold, graphic, textured and distinctly black & white. It's a delight to see any image you share, my friend! Lovely! fb/g+
James Aiken replied:
Thank you so very much Jo Ann. That is such a very kind and generous comment. I really appreciate your support.

Great inspired close-up on the "bad-teeth" - it gives an idea of how powerful this car was and on the almost unperceivable shadows of the car emblem...great textures...don't remember my vote no, my internet went down after the vote and fav on your work...NO, WAIT!! just saw the missing vote is no.18, yay!LOL

This is cool! I especially like the impressions of where the Dodge name lived for decades probably - it shows its history!

V19, love this..I love black and white over color just for this reason..look at the tone and mood from shadow and light..great subject..
James Aiken replied:
Thank you very much Denise. I also prefer B&W as I find color can distract from good composition and exposure.

LOVE this detail shot, James! I really like how you used the lack of the original Dodge emblem to portray the age and condition of the subject. Well done. v16
